Poor Victims of Yunnan Quake Need Continual Support

[ ePrayer – Pray for the impoverished disaster areas of Yunnan quake ]

About a month after the Yunnan quake on 7 September, many poor villages in remote areas are still waiting for relief assistance. Yunnan Christian Council has sent representatives to Zhaotong, Yiliang area, to provide assistance to quake victims and aim for helping the desperate remote villages in three most serious affected counties. CEDAR is working with Yunnan Christian Council on implementing the relief and rehabilitation work. We are also planning to start development work there afterwards to improve the livelihood of  the impoverished villagers. CEDAR has received 2.4 million HKD from HKSAR Disaster Relief Fund for providing emergency relief to the quake victims.

Donate now to support the Yunnan quake relief and rehabilitation work, and pray for the impoverished disaster areas of Yunnan quake:

  • Please remember the urgent need of the quake victims. Pray that they will have sufficient assistance to face the coming challenge of cold weather;
  • Thank you God that the HKSAR government has approved our funding application so that we may implement relief and rehabilitation programmes on schedule;
  • Impoverished victims in Yunnan need long-term support to fight against the threat of disaster and poverty. Pray that more Hong Kong churches and Christians will remember and respond to their needs.
